Where to buy in Greenwich
September 29th, 2008 by | Filed under Greenwich. The original centre of Greenwich is west of Greenwich Park. Croom’s Hill is the most desirable area because its houses look out directly over the Park. The houses are Georgian and Victorian. Gloucester Circus is a Georgian crescent. Between the High Road and South Street is the Ashburnham Triangle conservation area. The houses are flat-fronted terraces of early Victorian style. There are many other Georgian and early Victorian houses to be found in this area. East of Greenwich Park, starting with Maze Hill, is the area of Westcombe Park. The area extends almost down to Shooters Hill. Houses of all types and periods can be found here.
East Greenwich is the area north of the railway line and Trafalgar Road. Here riverside quays and wharfs have been turned into flats. There is also a fair amount of council housing. North Greenwich is the site of the Millennium Dome and also of Greenwich Millennium Village where many new homes are being created.
